STAMFORD -- Sandra Clough, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Clough of Stamford, a Drury High School senior, has been selected by her classmates and the school faculty for the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award. The award is offered to public high school girls in every state by the National Society DAR. NORTH ADAMS -- Seaman Edward Moreau Jr., U.S. Navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Moreau of 123 Beaver St., left to return to duty as the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Md., after spending the New Year’s holidays with his parents here. Moreau enlisted in December, 1961, and had his basic training at the Great Lakes (Ill.) Naval Training Center.

NORTH ADAMS -- Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey Pee Wees tied Troy 3-3 in a Tri-State League game. Rob Stack scored two goals and had an assist. Adam Jones scored the other goal. John Barbuto had two assists and Chad Anderson had one. Brock Whalen, Matt Trottier, Heidi Syrett, Anderson and Stack were all strong on defense. Goalie Matt Witek registered 28 saves.
NORTH ADAMS -- The C&S Construction Whalers beat the GE Credit Union Flames 9-3 in Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey Squirt division. For the Whalers Marshall Maxwell scored four goals, and Paul Carlson scored three.
