NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Wednesday:
* Wayne T. Garvie, 44, of Liberty Street in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty on charges of operating under the influence and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Garvie was placed on probation until Jan. 9, 2015, fined $600 and will serve 135 days in a house of correction.
* Travis T. Perras, 20, of South Street in North Adams, was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Feb. 27.
* Christopher D. Chapin, 33, of Angeli Street in North Adams, was arraigned on a charge of violating an abuse-prevention order. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Feb. 19.
A warrant was issued for the following person:
* Joseph M. Cote, 51, of Richview Avenue in North Adams, for failure to appear after being summoned. Cote was scheduled for arraignment on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having no inspection sticker.
