NORTH ADAMS -- Herbert Gordon of Williamstown was re-elected president of the North Adams Hospital. This will be the second year as head of the hospital for Mr. Gordon, a partner in the local construction firm of Gordon & Sutton. All other officers were re-elected. They are Hollis Wagstaff, vice president; Robert Thompson, secretary; and Arthur Harcourt, treasurer. ADAMS -- Olga’s Beauty Salon will open Tuesday at 75 Summer St., with Olga Perrault of Cheshire as proprietor. Mrs. Perrault, who as acquired the shop formerly operated by Mrs. John Maziarz under the name Ceil’s Beauty Salon, will have Rita Poupart of 27 Beecher St. associated with her as manager.

NORTH ADAMS -- Century 21 of New England recently held its third quarter award dinner at the Itam Lodge Hall in Pittsfield. Century 21 Harold Dupee associates receiving individual Pace Setter Awards were Frances Buckley, Michael LaVersa, Ellen Ryan and Shelley Gyurasz. Century 21 Harold Dupee has offices in Adams and North Adams.
NORTH ADAMS -- In the YMCA Youth Basketball League, Division III, Nassif’s beat Spectacle Shoppe, 75-51. Chad Walker scored 36 points for Nassif’s and Jon Griffen added 21. For Spectacle Shoppe, Derek Catelotti scored 20 points and Dan Harrison scored 15.

ADAMS -- Selectwoman Marya Kozik has announced that rather than running for a second term on the Board of Selectmen, she will run for town moderator instead. She said she chose to run for moderator because of her desire to run town meetings more smoothly and efficiently.
