Northern Berkshire District Court

NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Friday:

* Hector Rivera Jr., 49, of Route 23 in Craryville, N.Y., admitted to sufficient facts on a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and was fined $325.

* Diane J. Cote, 27, of Columbia Street in Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on a charge of shoplifting by concealed merchandise and was fined $150.

* Richard Wiseman, 67, of Murray Hill Road in Manchester, Vt., was arraigned on charges of third-offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked-lanes violation, possession of an open container of alcohol inside a motor vehicle and failure to stop. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 25.
