BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Bennington County Superior Court Judge David A. Howard swore his son Greg Howard, Esq., of local law firm, Donovan & O'Connor, LLP, into the Vermont Bar at the Bennington Family Court on Jan. 23.

Greg Howard is a lifelong Bennington resident who says he is very much looking forward to contributing to the Vermont legal community.

David Howard became a judge in the late 1990s after years in private practice. Prior to that, he served as public defender in Bennington and in St. Johnsbury. He is a native of Bellows Falls, Vermont.

Greg Howard passed the Vermont Bar Exam last February and has recently completed his clerkship requirement in order to become licensed in the state of Vermont. He passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam in July 2011 and has been an employee of Donovan & O'Connor since September of the same year.

He graduated from Boston College Law School in May of 2011 and from the University of Rochester in 2008. As an associate at Donovan & O'Connor, Howard's practice consists primarily of civil litigation, but he has experience in commercial and criminal areas as well. He will join Donovan & O'Connor partners Donald Goodrich, Chris Dodig, Jay O'Connor, Danielle Fogarty and Stephen Narey, as well as associate Buffy Lord as attorneys from the firm serving the Southern Vermont area.
