NORTH ADAMS -- Elder Services of Berkshire County has announced the selection of Patricia A. Eddy, RN, B.S. as clinical services director.

Eddy has more than 30 years of nursing and leadership experience in a variety of health care settings, including home care, nursing leadership, patient care, program development and regulatory compliance, according to a press release.

Eddy has a Bachelors of Science degree in health care administration from St. Joseph College of Maine, and an associate's degree in nursing from Berkshire Community College.

Eddy has been with Berkshire Health Systems for more than 26 years, the last five with Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association (BVNA). For the past two and a half years she has been BVNA's administrative director of home care and community services, responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all functions within BVNA, including nursing, home health aides, and physical and occupational therapy. In this position, Eddy managed both the clinical and business aspects of the BVNA with full authority and responsibility to plan, budget, staff and direct BVNA's program activities. She led the agency to Home Care Elite status for two consecutive years, ranking BVNA within the top 25 percent of home care agencies within the nation.

Elder Services' client services RNs in their provision of services. She will also serve as the liaison for skilled nursing facility and hospital case managers.
