NORTH ADAMS -- Court Margaret 629, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet on Wednesday, March 13, at 6 p.m., in the St. Elizabeth’s Parish Center.
A St. Patrick’s theme is planned. The Massachusetts state court is promoting an education contest which the number one winner will be sent to the National Court for recognition. The local winner from Court Margaret is Mary Crane from Williamstown, who submitted poetry that will be given to the state Court. State winners will be announced at the state convention in April.
At the Jan. 9 meeting, Justyna Carlson and Alice Samia were chosen by Court Margaret to be delegates to the 48th biennial state convention to be held from April 25 to 28 at the Radison-Plymouth hotel in Plymouth. Alma Benedetti, Mary Caffrey and Gerry Brassard were co-hostesses for the January social. Carlson was in charge of the evening’s entertainment.
