WINDSOR --Tamarack Hollow Nature & Cultural Center & Mass Audubon will present a late winter ecology snowshoe trek at Windsor Jambs State Forest on Saturday, March 2, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Experience this deep, evergreen forest, learn about high elevation trees and plants in winter and view a spectacular, deeply cut icy rock gorge called "the Jambs." This trek is 3 miles round trip and is rated moderate with a few steep declines/inclines. Discounted snowshoe rentals are available from the Berkshire Eastern Mountain Sports store in Lanesborough.
