WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Harrison Gallery will present a solo exhibition of paintings by Leslie Peck from March 2 to March 31.
This is Peck s second solo show with the Harrison Gallery. An opening reception with the artist will be held on Saturday, March 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., and is open to the public.
Peck, a New York native, was educated at the Fashion Institute of Technology where she received her bachelor s degree in fine art.
She then spent a year studying art in Italy at the Scuola di Lorenzo De Medici in Florence, before apprenticing in Rome with renowned illustrator Alessandro Biffignandi.
After a successful career as a romance book cover illustrator, Peck now resides in Greenwich, N.Y., where she paints portraits of farm animals and still-life objects that reflect the beauty and simplicity of the everyday and her own rural surroundings.
The Harrison Gallery is at 39 Spring Street in Williamstown. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
