HANCOCK -- A Stephentown, N.Y. woman was airlifted to Baystate Medical Center on Saturday after reportedly rolling her vehicle on Route 43.

According to State Police spokesman Lt. Daniel Richard, Katharine Potter, 86, was driving her 2007 Toyota RAV4 south on Route 43 when the vehicle reportedly left the road.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by state Police Troopers assigned to the Cheshire Barracks.

"The accident was reported to the Berkshire County Sheriff's department by the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department at 11:30 a.m.," Richard said. "She was taken by ambulance to the Berkshire Medical Center and then flown to Baystate Medical. She reportedly had a broken pelvis, possible collapsed lungs and a head injury."

Potter's condition was not available Sunday. However, Richard said a trooper had spoken with her about the accident earlier in the day.
