The articles in the newspapers and the letters to the editor about Hoosac Bank have not been good news.
The planned "reorganization" of the banks and staff cuts of bank employees are not only negative, black eyes for Hoosac Bank, but also irrational.
As a long-time customer of Hoosac Bank, I want to say that the entire staff at the bank are dedicated, competent employees who are friendly and make banking there enjoyable.
Unlike most other banks, Hoosac Bank and its entire staff are consistently helpful and able to conduct business quietly and quickly. I doubt that Mr. Leavitt knows what a good thing he has at the bank. Laying off even one person there is a huge mistake. Plus, it’s bad for business. Making changes just for the sake of change is not good business practice.
There are many examples of this leading to the downfall of companies. I advise Mr. Leavitt to look into this, and perhaps he’ll change his mind instead of the bank.
