WILLIAMSTOWN -- Sweetwood of Williamstown Retirement Community will welcome Williamstown artist John MacDonald as guest lecturer at 4 p.m., on Wednesday, March 20.

MacDonald will share some of his experiences and inspirations in a lecture, "An Artist's Life." A reception will follow.

MacDonald has worked for nearly 30 years as both a full-time freelance illustrator and landscape painter. He has won awards from Print Magazine, as well as having his work appear in the Society of Illustrators annual show.

The lecture and the reception are free and open to the public.
