Adams Seniors meet, mark March birthdays
ADAMS -- The Adams Senior Citizens met March 7 at the Visitors Center on Hoosac Street. President Judy Sheehan presided and welcomed everyone.
A moment of silence for a longtime past chaplain Helen Zepka was held.
Chaplain Rose Belisle was absent. A prayer and Pledge of Allegiance was said and members sang the club song.
Secretary Clement St. Hilaire and Treasurer Beverly Cardinal read their reports, which were accepted as read.
There are two new members, Beverly Brothers and Lea Lavigne. Birthdays for March are Beverly Brothers and Mary Jane Kolis.
The election of officers will be held in April. Elected nomination committeewomen are Mabel Sherman and Barbara Cummings.
The next meeting is March 21.
Senior prize winner was Beverly Cardinal. Raffle winners were Clem St. Hilaire, Mary Jane Kolis, Beverly Cardinal, Jackie Andrews, Mabel Sherman, Bernice Trzcinski, Frances Pikul, Carol Dolle, Josephine Granger and Irene LaMarche. Gifts went to Mabel Sherman, Carol Dolle, Frances Pikul, Freida Zepka, Beverly Brothers and Bernice Trzcinski.
Bingo was played under the direction of Clem St. Hilaire and the social committee.
