A story in Monday’s Transcript about notable fires in Williamstown’s history misspelled the name of a Williams College student who was rescued during the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity house fire on Jan. 6, 1959. Ernest Imhoff was led to safety that morning after being trapped by the blaze on his bedroom ledge. The tale was recounted Saturday in a presentation by Williamstown Fire Chief Craig A. Pedercini at the Williamstown Historical Museum.
