ADAMS -- Residents watching tonight's episode of Wheel of Fortune may spot a familiar face, as a longtime resident will be among the contestants.
Cheryl Jozefiak, an Adams native who resides in Delray Beach, Fla., was filmed competing on the show in November 2012 in Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif.
"It was honestly one of the coolest experiences," Jozefiak said Monday. "You truly felt like a movie star for a day."
Jozefiak had first been randomly selected at an open audition in West Palm Beach, Fla., in February 2012.
"I watch the show all the time, and always thought I'd love to be on," she said. "It turned out [auditions] were in the area."
She then beat out other hopefuls in subsequent auditions in May, and discovered she was selected two weeks later.
One thing that struck Jozefiak was the size, or lack of it, of the famous wheel.
"It looks huge on TV but it's not," she said. "[The contestants] all kind of looked at each other because it was such a difference. It's extremely heavy, though."
Jozefiak said residents will have to tune in to see how she did.
The show airs at 7 p.m. on WBZ, channel 4, and WTEN, channel 10.
