MOREAU, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities in Washington County say a body found in the Hudson River has been identified as that of a 31-year-old mother of two who had been missing for several days.
The sheriff’s office tells media outlets that the body of Renee Coxon of Fort Edward was found Friday afternoon near Lock 7 in Moreau by a crew working on the Hudson River dredging project. An autopsy concluded she had drowned.
Her family had reported her missing on Thursday. She was last seen early Wednesday when she unexpectedly left the Fort Edwards McDonald’s where she worked. Deputies later found a McDonald’s uniform near a bridge in Moreau.
