ADAMS -- Nancy Hunt, branch officer of the Williamstown office of Adams Community Bank, is retiring after 24 years at the location.
Hunt was hired in 1988 as a customer service representative to assist in opening the bank’s then-new Williamstown branch.
After working as a customer service representative for nine years, Hunt was promoted to assistant branch manager. In 1998, she was promoted to branch officer and has managed the Williamstown location and its staff of five for the last 14 years.
"Nancy is adored by her customers because she always goes the extra mile for each and every one of them," Senior Vice President of Retail Amy Giroux said in the news release announcing Hunt’s retirement. "She will be greatly missed by our bank and customers. She’s been a staple in Williamstown since we opened the branch there."
Hunt has been actively involved with the Williamstown Rotary Club, the Northern Berkshire United Way and the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce. Upon her retirement, she intends to spend more time with her grown children and grandchildren.
Doreen Descoteau will serve as the interim branch manager of the Williamstown office, effective Oct. 29.
