The Williams College Department of Music will present the annual Berkshire Symphony Student Soloist Competition at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall in Bernhard Music Center, 54 Chapin Hall Drive.
A pre-competition studio recital will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall. This free event is open to the public.
Competition winners appear with the Berkshire Symphony on Friday, April 19, in Chapin Hall, a concert showcasing the talents of Williams students.
The Berkshire Symphony is conducted by Ronald Feldman and includes Williams students, faculty members, and professionals.
The competition is open to Williams College students who have completed required instrumental or vocal studies and are enrolled in qualifying courses. The students must be recommended by their instrumental or vocal teachers.
