Colleen Williams draws from the aesthetics of tribal culture design in her fabric collages, as well as other mediums, by using color and pattern to convey her fascination with the customs within these cultures. She's sewn since age four. Spurred on by her travels in India and a desire to use fabrics to sketch moments, she achieves her vision through threads, fabric paint, stencils, ribbon and other materials. Williams work can be seen on view at the North Adams Artists' Co-Op Gallery, 33 Main St., or online at naacogallery.org/artist_45_ Colleen-A.-Williams.htm.
