PITTSFIELD -- Starry Night Theater Company will present "Vincent," a one-man play about artist Vincent van Gogh, performed by James Briggs.
"Vincent" will run Dec. 14 through 30 at the St. Germain Stage located on the upper level of the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden St.
Performances are Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sunday at 4 p.m.; with matinees Saturday, Dec. 22 and 29 at 4 p.m.

The play is adapted by actor/ author Leonard Nimoy from letters written by the artist to his brother, Theo van Gogh who is the principal character of the play. He struggles to convince friends and colleagues that his brother was not a lunatic or a madman.
The director, Brant Pope, has a 30-year career in academic and professional theater and has directed over one hundred productions. He is the chairman of the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin and is holder of the Z .T. Scott Family Chair.
The design team includes Briggs (sets), Scott Pinkney (lights) and Barbara Pope (costumes). Christopher Donovan is production stage manager.
