WILLIAMSTOWN -- American folk/indie rock band, Field Report, led by singer/ songwriter Christopher Porterfield, will perform at Images Cinema, 50 Spring Street, on Sunday, March 24, at 1 p.m.

Porterfield previously was Justin Vernon s band mate before Vernon went on to form Bon Iver. Field Report appears courtesy of Billsville House Concerts, and proceeds from the concert will benefit both Billsville House Concerts and Images Cinema.

Field Report is a band on the rise. Within six months of their first-ever public performance, Field Report had secured tours with Emmylou Harris and Counting Crows. They appeared at SXSW last year and will again this year. Their self-titled album released in September received positive reviews.

Paste Magazine said œChris Porterfield has found the sweet spot between masterful attention to details and broad understand of the breadth of a record. Their music has been added to in-store playlists at 7,500 Starbucks locations. Bruce Warren at WXPN calls it œthe best debut of the year, a sentiment echoed by the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin, Paste, Billboard, and Pitchfork.

We re excited to be partnering with Images Cinema for what promises to be a great show, œ said Doug Packer of Billsville House Concerts. œIndie film and indie music are a great combination. Field Report is a band on the verge of breakout success and having them here in Williamstown
