NORTH ADAMS -- Drury High School has named Molly Howe as valedictorian and Abigail Bolner as salutatorian of the Class of 2013. Both will speak during commencement ceremonies to be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, in the school gymnasium.
Howe is the daughter of Jim and Cathy Howe of 51 Millard Ave., Clarksburg.
Howe's activities have included varsity track and cross country, Drury High School newspaper, Drury SPIRIT, Senior Tribute Committee, and the Student Service Learning Action Council.
She has served as a volunteer gymnastics instructor at the YMCA, North Adams Regional Hospital Junior Hospital volunteer, and Meals on Wheels volunteer, and has worked part-time at Havenwood Kennel.
Her academic accolades include Nu Sigma and Pro Merito Honor Societies, Principals' Award (top five in class) and Rochester Institute of Technology Award for Computation.
Howe will major in nursing at Radford (Va.) University.
Bolner is the daughter of Chris and Tina Bolner of 64 Walden St., North Adams.
Her activities have included Student Council, varsity tennis, Northern Berkshire Softball, Service Learning Projects, Williams College Science Program, and the Relay for Life.
Bolner's academic accolades include Nu Sigma and Pro Merito Honor Societies, Williams College Book Award, English Department Award, Principal's Award, and the Rising Star Award.
She will major in psychology at Westfield State University.
