NORTH ADAMS -- Verizon crews worked Tuesday, Wednesday and again Thursday at the intersection of Marshall and Main streets.

Verizon spokesman Philip Santoro said the crews were dispatched to fix an underground cable that had gotten wet.

Traffic was kept open while crews worked, but parking spaces and the right lane on Main Street were blocked off.

Santoro said it's too soon to know when crews will complete the work.

While some service in the neighborhood may be interrupted, he said, it won't be widespread.
