NORTH ADAMS -- The Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch at 303 State St. was recently closed after the company's lease on the property expired.
"It no longer made economic sense to renew it," Ned Maniscalco, manager of corporate communications for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, said in an email.
"No employees lost their jobs as a result of the closing," he said.
The North Adams branch was a satellite for the rental car company's Pittsfield flagship location, which Maniscalco said is expanding to better serve customers.
The city's branch opened in 2001, after operating out of McAndrews-King in Adams for five years.
Maniscalco encouraged residents to call or visit the Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations in Pittsfield or Bennington, Vt.
