I'm a health care worker at North Adams Regional Hospital and a member of 1199 SEIU, the largest health care workers union in Mass achusetts with more than 46,000 members. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a meeting with Congressman Richard Neal during a tour of NARH.
As you may know, the congressional map in Massa chusetts is being redrawn and NARH falls within the new district that Congressman Neal will be running in this November in his bid to be re-elected. He's been visiting residents in the new district and learning about our unique needs. He took the time to speak with us as healthcare workers and learn about the health care needs of North Adams residents. We discussed providing quality care, reducing health care costs and bringing more revenue into the hospital.
I can tell that Congressman Neal really cares about health care and making sure that the residents of North Adams and its surrounding communities are taken care of.
I want to thank the congressman for his time and his commitment to healthcare workers.
