I don’t understand why the people we elect into office to run our government can’t run on the budget and taxes they collect.
Our paychecks are taxed even before we get paid, and then our paychecks are taxed again. On every item we buy, our paychecks are taxed over and over again. If you buy anything, our paychecks are taxed again, on the money that was taxed when we got paid. It seems to me we are being double taxed, triple taxed and then get taxes. There seems to be no end to it.
Now I don’t mind paying my share of taxes, but tax after tax? There is something wrong with this picture.
They can’t run the government on the budget that is set up. Anytime the budget gets tight, they can’t figure out how to solve the problem without raising taxes. Anyone can run a government that way, when all you have to do is raise taxes.
The people just don’t have the money that was around when General Electric was here in Pittsfield. The people don’t have money trees in their backyards. Isn’t it nice that the rich have loopholes to reduce their taxes? If they paid their real share, maybe the middle class people would get a break. The middle class families always get kicked in the head when it comes to taxes. Some people are working two and three jobs just to put food on the table. Sure, people are spending now because of the upcoming holidays, but I bet most are on credit cards. There will be heck to pay after the holidays trying to pay off these bills. I could go on, but I know you got the idea.
