It appears that the North Adams City Council President Michael Bloom went ballistic at the Dec. 11 meeting -- another fine must-see TV, live-and-in-living-color moment for the good citizens of North Adams.
Just two weeks ago, the council president was chastising the speaking public at the meeting, only to blow his own top. In the political strain of the office, it now appears Council President Bloom has raised his head after his own stellar performance of chastising the former 26-year mayor and now Councilor John Barrett III, over proper parliamentary procedures -- "point of information." By a very improper breach of decorum himself -- yelling, screaming, repeatedly slamming the gavel and at many points saying "be quiet" to the former mayor -- Bloom has now blown his own top and is in a meltdown stage to this citizen. Isn’t it time for the VP Lisa Blackmer to take over for the rest of the year? You, the public, be the judge.
Yep, as it’s been said before, "it’s a circus," and the greatest show in town for the holidays.
Just my thoughts.
