ADAMS -- A woman and three young children were taken to the hospital Monday night following an accident at the intersection of North Summer Street and Frederick Lane.
According to Adams Police Officer Michael Wandrei, Lindsey Andrews, 29, of Adams, became distracted while traveling southbound on North Summer Street. Andrews struck a parked car that belonged to Whitney McKinley, of Adams.
The accident, which occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m., resulted in the road being closed for 20 minutes for cleanup.
Andrews and the other occupants -- three children ages 2, 4 and 5 -- were brought to Berkshire Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
Andrews faces charges of a marked-lanes violation and not wearing a seatbelt.
