Thanks to all who attended, supported and helped at the pancake breakfast and bottle drive, held Jan. 12, at the Eagles Hall, for the Matthew Goodson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Special thanks to the Fraternal Order of Eagles for allowing us to use the hall, my brothers from F.F. Local 1781, who did the cooking, Boy Scout Troop 11097 and Girls Scout Troop 88 for taking care of the bottles and tables. Your help was greatly appreciated.
The funds we raised that day, and in the future, will go toward helping students from our community who are pursuing their education in the pharmacy/research and pharmacy technician fields. It was something Matt loved and had a deep passion for. He loved helping anyone in need and felt he could do it best through the development of better medicines. We will keep you posted on future fundraisers.
There has been a scholarship account established in his name at Greylock Federal Credit Union and also at the bottle redemption center on the corner of Massachusetts and Protection avenues in North Adams. Anyone wishing to donate to either one may do so anytime by telling them to put it toward the Matthew Goodson Scholarship Fund.
Again, we thank you so much, and God bless.
