Did any of you catch all the "red hands" held high behind Secretary of State John Kerry as he was addressing Congress? Obviously this was a sign of protest of a U.S. attack on Syria. In other words, the symbolic meaning is that blood will be on our hands.
I cannot be sure, but those holding up their "red hands" were probably peace activists. And just why does it seem that so many peace activists are pro-abortion? Wouldn't it be nice to see them holding up "red hands" while protesting outside of Planned Parenthood? If one desires peace in the world, one must be pro-life, not pro-abortion.
One cannot be like President Obama who strangely won a Nobel Peace prize while being an abortion "rights" supporter. One must be consistent like Mother Teresa was (a worthy Nobel Peace prize winner).
Here are some of her words from the 1994 National Prayer Breakfast that put things in perspective:
"And if we can accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? ... By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. ... Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion."
And these words spoken by Mother Teresa addressed those who are concerned about poverty, violence and children, which could easily have been addressed to those with "red hands:"
"Often these same people are not concerned with the millions who are being killed by the deliberate decision of their own mothers. And this is what is the greatest destroyer of peace today -- abortion which brings people to such blindness."
Whom to believe? President Obama or Mother Teresa? I'll side with a potential future saint.
