I have a pen pal down Maryland way.
She hasn't written for many a day.
Maybe they've moved from their mobile home,
Maybe they've decided to go and roam.
I hope everyone is fit as a fiddle.
Hope this poem will move her to write,
Then I will know everything is alright.
Hope you get settled before winter sets in.
And give us a reason for a grin.
There's another pen pal in a Connecticut town,
She likes to go on cruises, and is never around.
So we only exchange Christmas cards,
To send each other our regards.
A long letter comes with the greeting,
Wondering if we will ever be meeting.
It's nice to have a pen pal to write to.
And get a letter back to find out what's new.
