Coach: Ed Paquette (6th year)
Last year: 15-5
Key returnees: Elizabeth Mitts, Sr.; Kristin Read, Sr.; Raiche Wright, Sr.; Sophie Silverstein, Sr.; Suzanne Woller, Sr.; Emma Jackson, Sr.; Lizzy Barry, Sr.; Makayla White, Jr.
The Millionaires are flush with senior leadership and experience. There are 10 seniors on the roster, and Paquette expects to see strength on both offense and defense.
The key will be Mitts, a towering presence on the front line along with Silverstein. Mitts, a terrific athlete and returning All-Eagle selection, recorded 147 kills, 29 aces and 100 digs last year.
But while Mitts is a key, Lenox is flush with veteran performers, who helped the team finish 15-5 overall last year.
Paquette has plenty of experience from which to draw. In a league where leadership is a big factor, the Millionaires are one of the most seasoned teams in the Berkshires.
If Lenox can work new setters into an already-established system, it stands a good chance of returning to the Western Mass. tournament, where it reached the semifinal round in 2012.
