It would be difficult to use the term "rebuliding" when it comes to a Wahconah girls soccer team. But that might pretty close to the situation the Warriros, who have a few holes to fill.
The biggest will come on the score sheet. Two of the team's top three leading scorers, Gabby Lavinio an Shannon Lussier, are gone. They each scored four goals and had two assists in their senior years.
Looking to pick up some of the slack is a host of players, but the only upperclassman is junior Angela Colson.
Luckily, the team's top scorer, junior Bridget Lussier, is back. She scored five goals in 2012 to pace the offense. She and classmate Dumas (2g, 2a) figure to get a lot more chances with the other pair gone.
What Bridget and Dumas will have to do in the middle is anchor it the way West said Lavinio did. Joining the duo in the middle this season are senior captain Thibodeau and junior Houle. Thibodeau had an outstanding 2012 season as a defender, and West is counting on her tenacity and aggressive play to help the Warriors control the middle.
The backline will be anchored by junior sweeper Maddie Sprague.
