Antil said his team has shown solid fundamentals throughout preseason practice, as passing and physicality will be the strength of his team. With six seniors back, they will be looked upon as leaders of the team and will solidify each level of the Generals' formation.
Seniors Bradley and Jankovic will anchor the defense for the Generals. Antil said Bradley is a strong, physical defender that can affect the game on and off the ball, while Jankovic is a solid passing finesse player.
In the midfield, the Generals return Olazabal, a quick, high-energy midfielder, who works hard in the middle. Also returning is midfielder/forward Miranda, a player who controls the ball well and is a solid outside shooter.
In the net for the Generals will be captain Harrison Rapant. Antil praised the goalkeeper for the work he put in during the offseason, and the coach expects a big season from him.
Heading into the season, Antil is still looking for players who can put the ball in the net. But with a strong returning nucleus, the Generals are looking forward to competing against the top teams in the county.
