WILLIAMSTOWN -- For over 30 years, the Williamstown Art Conservation Center has been hidden in a small free-standing building behind the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, where conservators have painstakingly restored and repaired works such as Vincent Van Gogh's "Irises," Thomas Hart Benton's "America Today" murals, and Jackson Pollock's "Number 2, 1949.
