CLARKSBURG -- Voters will have a choice among three candidates for Selectman as they go to the polls on Feb. 27, to elect town officers for the coming year. R. Alan Gleason, the incumbent, who is seeking re-election, will be opposed by Leonard Lewitt and John McLaren. NORTH ADAMS -- The Navy revealed that three Northern Berkshire young men were aboard ships in the fleet of more than 40 Navy vessels that were deployed in the Atlantic. They are Raymond Oakes, fireman apprentice, of North Adams; Stanley Gliwski Jr., seaman, of Adams; and Robert Nugent, seaman, of Williamstown.

NORTH ADAMS -- The 140th annual meeting of the North Adams Hoosac Savings Bank was held in the bank on Feb. 11. Four new corporators of the bank were elected. Judith Cummings, Ann Eaton, Donald Graves and Thomas Jones. Corporators re-elected were Richard Boulger, Felix Puccio and Barbara Wagner.

NORTH ADAMS -- The Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey Pee Wee travel team beat Salisbury, Conn., 7-4. John Barbuto had two goals for NB, and teammates Darin Lane, Chad Anderson, Ben Livi, Peter Ferris and Marc Salvi each scored once. Matt Witek was the winning goalie.

college preparatory school in northwest Connecticut. Prior to coming to SKS, he was an athletic director and history teacher at Pine Cobble School in Williamstown.
