NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Friday:
* Dale Luczynski, 49, of Albert Street in Adams, was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for May 22.
* Robert Newburg, 57, of Apremont Street in Adams, was arraigned on a charge of permitting abuse of an elderly or disabled person. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for May 23.
* Thomas Rand Jr., 21, of Nutmeg Lane in Williamstown, had a number of charges dismissed because he was the wrong person. Charges had included three counts larceny over $250, uttering false check and receiving stolen property over $250.
Warrants were issued for the following people:
* Gavin R. Mahar, 19, of Furnace Street in North Adams, on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and destruction of property over $250.
