NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Tuesday:

* James R. Rupert, 35, of Union Street in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts and was found guilty on charges of two counts assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count assault and battery. Rupert was sentenced to two years in a house of correction.

* Ronald S. Brown, 50, of Hall Street in Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of three counts identity fraud. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 14.

* James J. Morandi, 53, of Hall Street in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on charges of two counts possession of a class B drug and single counts operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Morandi was fined $600 and received a 45-day loss of license. The case was continued without a finding until Oct. 9, 2013.

* Brad Rathbun, 37, of Cliff Street in North Adams, admitted to sufficient facts on charges of three counts assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count leaving the scene of property damage. The case was continued without a finding until Oct. 8, 2013.

* John Wheeler, 51, of Jackson Street in North Adams, was arraigned on charges of

operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 5.

* Michael M. Almeida, 21, of John Street in Pittsfield, was arraigned on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a lights violation. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 9.

A warrant was issued for the following person:

* Karissa J. Hoag, 21, of Holbrook Street in North Adams, on charges of no inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
