WILLIAMSTOWN -- Two 4-H Club members, James and Jonathan George, each presented a large chicken to the Williamstown Rotary Club at its meeting at the Williams Inn. The boys had each been given eight surgically-caponized six week old chicks by the Rotary Club six and one half months ago. They brought in the largest birds they raised as a gift to Rotary. NORTH ADAMS -- James and David Whitney, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Whitney of 17 Marion Ave., have been elected co-captains of the 1963 Drury football team, it was announced by Coach Bresnahan. David play a guard position and James is an end and both had a prominent part in helping Drury win its first Class A Conference championship this season.

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Jamie Bolotin scored both Mt. Greylock touchdowns Satur day in the loss to Drury to grab offensive honors on the Mt. Greylock weekly Honor Roll. Shawn Flaherty was the leading receiver with 10 catches for 82 yards, Wally Hyde was named top lineman for the game, and Tom Overbaugh was named the top defensive player for the Mounties.
NORTH ADAMS -- Mike Cyrulik and Jim Horbal shared the McCann defensive player of the week honors, and Tod Syrett and Randy Morin were honored on offense for work in last weekend’s 13-6 loss to Lee. Cyrulik made eight solo tackles and assisted on 12 others, and Horbal was credited with playing

NORTH ADAMS -- The Berkshire Bruins Mites hockey team lost over the weekend to the Rutland Raptors Mite A Team, 4-2. The Bruins’ first goal was scored by Damon Definis, assisted by Patrick Shine, and the second goal was scored by Ryan Wadsworth and assisted by Tyler Hughes.
NORTH ADAMS -- Drury High School senior Sean Carollo was named as this year’s recipient of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents’ Certificate of Academic Excellence. The honor is given annually to the highest ranking high school senior who has distinguished himself in the pursuit of excellence.
