Epoch to host a talk with Benjamin Franklin
PITTSFIELD -- Epoch Assisted Living at 140 Melbourne Road will host a historical presentation by James Durkee at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4.
Durkee will come in character as Dr. Benjamin Franklin and will discuss Franklin's life, creative gadgets and inventions. Durkee is a retired U.S. history teacher and was nominated for Who's Who in Education.

Jewish Federation offers Monday Tai Chi series
PITTSFIELD -- The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will present "Energize with Tai Chi -- A Workshop," with certified traditional Tai Chi instructors Kathy and David Crowe, at 1 p.m. on Mondays, Jan. 14 and Feb. 4 and 25, with future dates to be announced.
Open to the public, and at a cost of $3 for each session, the program will be held at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road.
