Roughly 1,500 Adams and Cheshire homes experienced power outages Thursday, caused by downed lines at the Harbor Road and Route 8 intersection in Cheshire.
The outage was reported to have occurred around 3:30 p.m., and power was restored before two hours had passed, according to National Grid.
A trooper at the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Cheshire said the outage was caused by a blown transformer.
