NORTH ADAMS -- The Department of Conservation & Recreation's Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will offer an illustrated lecture, "Sunny Side Up ... A History of Daylight Saving Time," on Saturday at 3 p.m.

It is time to "spring ahead!" The long-awaited return to more sun and warmer temperatures is heralded each year by Daylight Saving Time. This illustrated lecture will investigate the origins of this idea and the complications involved in getting it accepted.

Western Gateway Heritage State Park is south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building No. 4. Information: 413-663-6312.
