NORTH ADAMS -- The North Adams Farmers Market will open for the season on Saturday, June 29, at St. Anthony’s Municipal Parking Lot on the corner of Marshall Street and St. Anthony Drive. The market is held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturdays through October.
Opening day will feature a mix of locally grown items as well as canned and baked goods, eggs, flowers, meat, cutting boards, photography, furniture, soap and jewelry. Entertainment will include music, a performance by magician Johnny Mystic and kid-friendly activities.
People who attend on opening day can also enter a raffle to win a pair of SteepleCats tickets.
An EBT machine at the market will enable customers to use credit/ debit cards, as well as SNAP benefits. The market will again offer the SNAP x2 Program, which will double the value of every swipe utilizing SNAP benefits.
