WILLIAMSTOWN -- Williamstown will host their annual "Hometown Fourth of July Parade" at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 4.
The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. and travels from Southworth Street, west onto Route 2 and down Spring Street.
At the end of the parade route at the base of Spring Street, a barbecue will be available for parade-goers.
Following the meal, the Independence Day traditions will continue at 2 p.m. on the lawn of the Williams College Museum of Art. Actors visiting the Williamstown Theatre Festival will read the Declaration of Independence and the British reply.
In North Adams, the celebration will continue into the evening. The North Adams SteepleCats will host the Sanford Mainers at 6:30 p.m., at Joe Wolf Stadium, followed by a fireworks display.
