ADAMS -- An Adams girl, Jani Jaworski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jaworski of 14 Crandall St., was named Camp Spirit at the end of last week at Camp Howe, the 4-H camp in Goshen. The honor is based on all-around good campership. She is a member of the Happy Hearts 4-H Club of Adams. NORTH ADAMS -- Twelve students received certificates of accomplishment at the end of the course in typing simplified given at Notre Dame School. Those receiving certificates are Richard Wadlegger, Douglas Bombardier, Bernard Colo, Cathy Dellaghelfa, Marilyn Chalmers, Bernice Goldman, Irene Potter, Christine Tietgens, Robert Zelazo, Judith Contois, Lynn Baldessarini and Dale Long.

NORTH ADAMS -- RCI Real Estate, D. John Zeppieri Realtors, has announced the addition of Joseph and Carlyne Mills as sales representatives to its sales staff. Both are recent graduates of the Bill Murray School of Real Estate. Joseph has had 25 years of experience in the manufacturing field in various positions. Carlyne is president of Mills Property Management and owner of the Off Campus Shoppe on Ashland Street.
NORTH ADAMS -- The Elks outlasted Tartan Machine, 9-7, in North Adams Little League. Travis Miller had two hits for the winners, and teammates Jeremy Nichlen, Mike Therrien and Jimmy Thomas each had a hit. Ricky O’Neil had two hits for Tartan, and Ryan Malloy had the team’s other hit. Therrien got the win on the mound. O’Neil and Brent Wiencek pitched for Tartan.

NORTH ADAMS -- Morrison Berkshire captured the Intermediate Division championship in the Northern Berkshire Girls Softball League. Members of the team are Kaitlyn Moresi, Shannon Boyer, Tiffany Gundler, Bethani Hakes, Lyndsey DeGrenier, Britnee Bohl, Kailey DeMarsico, Kayla Lescarbeau, Justine Slade, Angela Ames, Megan Boyer, Katy Carrigan, and Kelsey Malloy.
NORTH ADAMS -- In the North Adams Men’s Summer Basketball League, JNA Rocks defeated Stanley Lumber/ Adams Co-Op, 68-61. Todd Hamilton led JNA with 21 points, while Clem Dugal added 17 and Ryan Costine with 15. Jon Kellogg had 20 points for Stanley Lumber, while Mitch Belanger added 16 points.
