North Adams Transcript Two Northern Berkshire colleges are waiting for their next shipment of the H1N1 flu vaccine after receiving only 100 doses each to distribute to their students, faculty and staff. According to officials at Williams College in Williamstown and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, the institutions have requested hundreds more doses of the vaccine,   Full Story

Nov. 20 50 years ago today ADAMS -- Slim, attractive Nancy Novak of 46 South St., North Adams, wearing a light blue gown, last night was crowned queen of the 29th annual Military Ball before approximately 200 formally dressed couples in the Park Street Armory. NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Wednesday: * Chad M. Kolodziej, 36, of Forest Park Avenue in Adams, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault and battery. The court scheduled a pre-trial hearing for Dec. 30. * Dennis M. St. Pierre, 50, of Elm Street in Williamstown, was found guilty on two counts of drunken driving.   Full Story
 
North Adams Transcript ADAMS -- The Selectmen heard from Town Administrator Jonathan Butler Wednesday on the possibility of the town joining the state’s Group Insurance Commission, which would provide health insurance to all the town employees. New England Newspapers PITTSFIELD -- Case closed. Mayor James M. Ruberto’s win over challenger Daniel L. Bianchi was upheld following a one-day recount on Wednesday.
