NORTH ADAMS -- Henry Doran Jr. of 149 Bradley St., takes over Dec. 1 the job of North Adams Hospital pharmacist vacated by Stephen Wilk of 73 Bradley St., who will go to the Abbot Laboratories in Westchester County, N.Y. Mr. Doran was employed at Dox Drugs, Inc. of Williamstown before accepting his new position.

ADAMS -- Seaman Apprentice Kenneth Kleiner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kleiner of 8 Anthony St., reported to Groton, Conn., today after spending the past 12 days visiting his parents. He will receive seven and one half months training at an electronic-technician school. Seaman Kleiner enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard last August and received basic training at Camp May, N.J.

25 years ago today

NORTH ADAMS -- Robin Lee Ogert, daughter of Sandra Singer of 87 Johnson St., and Sydney Ogert of Simmons Road, Williamstown, left Sept. 25 for six weeks of basic training in the administrative field at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. Airman Ogert was graduated in 1983 from Charles H. McCann Technical School.

LANESBORO -- Two residents of Lanesboro who were graduated in 1984 from Mt. Greylock Regional High School, Williamstown, completed basic training recently. Valerie Dean, daughter of Carol and Roger Dean of 477 South Main St., completed her six-week basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and is assigned to Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Mark Piacenti,

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Donna Brown, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Earle Brown Jr. of Williamstown, was recently honored by the IEEE at the 79th annual meeting of the organization in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Brown graduated from Mt. Greylock Regional High School in 1967. She currently is an associate professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

NORTH ADAMS -- Willowood of North Adams honored employees Nov. 18 for years of service to the facility. Honorees for 10-15 years of service are Ceil Blair, Elizabeth Cram, Caroline Dolle, Judith Duquette, Bryan Gerry, Mary Jasinski, Mary Lacasse, Theresa McGinnis, Carol Mullett, Patricia Phillips, Debbie Rodriguez and Gloria Sprague. Honorees for 16-20 years of service are Mitzi Dobbert and Ernie Richards.
