NORTH ADAMS -- The annual Fall Foliage Children's Parade, with the theme this year "Toys on Parade," will be held Friday.
Registration starts at 4 p.m. at the corner of Eagle and Main streets. Children, up to eighth grade, who are participating in the parade, should register by 5:15 p.m. The parade will start about 5:30 p.m. at Eagle Street and march on downstreet to the City Hall parking lot where they will be greeted by Mayor Richard Alcombright and other officials.
All participants will receive a ribbon. Small toys will also be given out to all participants at the end of the parade by Cariddi Sales. The top three winners of each category will receive medals, but there are only up to 10 medals available for group winners. In addition, Persnickety Toys will once again also provide the winners with gift certificates.
