NORTH ADAMS -- The following cases were heard in Northern Berkshire District Court on Tuesday:

* James D. Ridel, 55, of South Street in Cheshire, was arraigned on a charge of larceny over $250 by false pretense. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 30.

* Christopher W. Grand champ, 20, of Howland Avenue in Adams, was charged with 14 counts of breaking and entering into a vehicle at night for a felony and single counts larceny under $250, larceny of a drug, and attempted breaking and entering into a building. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 3.

* Patrick M. Bunt Jr., 24, of State Street in North Adams, was arraigned on a charge of violating and abuse-prevention order. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 26.
