ADAMS -- Albert Jennings, 45, of 163 Howland Ave., was made a permanent custodian last night at a meeting of the School Committee. He will continue at the Renfrew building where he has been on a provisional appointment since May 31 of last year. Mr. Jennings had a mark of 76.45 on his Civil Service examination and passed his physical examination.
NORTH ADAMS -- A North Adams soldier is taking part in Exercise Lava Ridge II, a combined Army-Air Force mobility exercise in the Hawaiian Islands. He is Pvt. Robert Dami, son of Mr. and Mrs. D.R. Dami of Reservoir Road and an ammunition bearer in the Combat Support Co. of the 21st Infantry, regularly station at Schofield Barracks in Oahu. He entered the Army in October, 1961, and had his basic training at Fort Dix, N.J.

ADAMS -- Ronald Carpenter of 106 Howland Ave., has been appointed Supervisor Overhead for Massachusetts Electric Company in Great Barrington. He graduated from Drury High School in North Adams and started with Mass. Electric in 1960 and was a Crew Leader in North Adams and a Supervisor Overhead in Shelburne Falls before his recent appointment.
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Craig Clemow of 85 Grandview Dr. has signed a nomination paper to run for a three-year position on the Elementary School Committee. There are two positions open on the School Committee. George Galli Jr., one of the incumbents,

CLARKSBURG -- The Clarksburg Elementary School is breaking new ground in the formation of its first student council. The council is advised by Susan Pearson, the school nurse. Members of the council are Carissa Hartman, Kayla Lescarbeau, Mary-Ellen Beattie, Zachary Remillard, Samantha Marlow, Courtney Andrews and Jacob Vivori.
CLARKSBURG -- Army Sgt. Todd Jarvis, son of Bev and John Canale of North Eagle Street, has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal for dutifully and faithfully completing a military service obligation or term of enlistment in a commendable manner. He is an Avenger team chief assigned to the Air Defense Battery, 1st Squadron, 11th Armor Cavalry.
